Virtually all models within this range utilize SpeakerCraft’s exclusive WavePlane™ tweeter mounting, which improves high frequency dispersion and overall speaker tonal balance.

More conventional in-ceiling designs all suffer from the same problem: poor off-axis response. That means that they sound correct when you are directly underneath them, but change tonally as you move to one side or the other. For an in-ceiling speaker to be truly successful, a good off-axis response is essential.

The WavePlane is a unique open baffle design that allows the tweeter to more effectively off-axis, while the lower frequencies from the bass unit pass unhindered through the WavePlane grille.

The 6" CRS models provide a superb off-axis response and wide dispersion. All models include pivoting tweeter mountings and most include front panel EQ controls for in-room tailoring.
